Installation differences:

ULTRA-GLOSS® is the closest thing you can get to OEM paint in gloss wraps. This change makes the film more difficult to prep/install since every imperfection is magnified. Here are some tips to get the best finish from your ULTRA-GLOSS film.

Installation tips

1. Clay bar: Originally, clay bars have not been necessary for car wraps but with the dramatic increase in finish clarity, small specs and surface contaminants will show through exponentially. Although still not necessary for the integrity of the wrap, it's highly suggested for added surface clarity.

2.  Nano Air-release is there to enhance the finish of the product however it may be harder to remove trapped air on large surfaces. It is suggested to apply the film while holding excess material off the surface. This will prevent trapped air and distortions the in film. In the event of bubbles, press the bubble softly or puncture to let air out.

3. Stretchable cap: The stretch cap can be installed without removing throughout the entire wrap process. It is important to note that the cap removes pliability of the film by about 18% meaning, it's performance will be at 82% whereas the uncapped film is at 100%.  For precision cutting, seams and joints, make sure you remove the cap in those areas.

Great material

"Was my first time wrapping and it turned out great. Might be a little thick for my first wrap but I got the hang of it. Really enjoyed the wrap and will be ordering there wrap next time"

Fantastic finish and color, but maybe not for first timers

"Everyone says it looks like paint! Super smooth, ultra glossy paint-like finish. Installed with the protective cap on without any issue; only peeled off the cap when ready to cut/trim out vinyl. However...this is definitely a film for intermediate to advanced users...brand new beginners I recommend getting in some practice and experience with XPO or regular Premium+ first. Also, don't install this vinyl in hot climates...I installed this in my garage, which was 90+ degrees farhenheit! While it made for easy "cold" stretching, since the vinyl is heat activated, it stuck to EVERYTHING it touched making the install process tedious. However, in the end totally worth it as it looks fantastic. Everyone that sees it thinks it's paint (to include other professional vinyl wrap installers that have seen it)."

Sick color

"Only wrapped a few cars and my first time using Vvivid All I have to say is I’m sticking with Vvivid from now on. The ultra gloss is insane, people don’t believe me when I say it’s vinyl."

Absolutely terrible

"As a small business who wraps numerous vehicles a month and decided to try a new product I am beyond disappointed in this product. I feel like I was robbed honestly, if you are looking for a wrap that is forgiving this is not it, I purchased a 5x50ft roll and after lifting and sticking twice it was no longer adhering to the surface. I have approximately 30-35 ft left and I will more than likely throw it away because that’s where this product belongs, sad it came to this, but it is what it is because companies don’t care about quality, it’s all quantity"
