Installation differences:

ULTRA-GLOSS® is the closest thing you can get to OEM paint in gloss wraps. This change makes the film more difficult to prep/install since every imperfection is magnified. Here are some tips to get the best finish from your ULTRA-GLOSS film.

Installation tips

1. Clay bar: Originally, clay bars have not been necessary for car wraps but with the dramatic increase in finish clarity, small specs and surface contaminants will show through exponentially. Although still not necessary for the integrity of the wrap, it's highly suggested for added surface clarity.

2.  Nano Air-release is there to enhance the finish of the product however it may be harder to remove trapped air on large surfaces. It is suggested to apply the film while holding excess material off the surface. This will prevent trapped air and distortions the in film. In the event of bubbles, press the bubble softly or puncture to let air out.

3. Stretchable cap: The stretch cap can be installed without removing throughout the entire wrap process. It is important to note that the cap removes pliability of the film by about 18% meaning, it's performance will be at 82% whereas the uncapped film is at 100%.  For precision cutting, seams and joints, make sure you remove the cap in those areas.

Another good product

"I’ve wrapped with many of VViViD’s products, and this one was a little easier than the classic type vinyl they sell. However this time around was the first time I’ve personally had an issue with the vinyl tearing. On both drivers doors upon repositioning, I had spots in the middle of the vinyl where the color part would separate from the cap. I also had tears on the ends while doing the hood. This was my first time using the ultra gloss so I’m not sure if all rolls are like this. I have the Sonoma green that I’ve been saving for a personal car so I guess I’ll find out if I’m 2 for 2 here in a bit. Regardless the color is beautiful, beware if you’re in a hot state like I am, there will be glue marks when laying down under tension. Very slight but for us installers it’s noticeable."

Overall Great Product. Much better gloss than I expected. People think my car is painted.

"Super High Gloss.... Conforms as well as you would expect for a vinyl at this price point. Tach is a good level for doing the work by yourself. Air Release works well."

Great color, challenging wrap

"Love the color, but this wrap is pretty difficult to use for an amateur. Had a LOT of trouble getting the hood of my MINI wrapped. This wrap is thicker than some, and it’s super sticky. A lot of work, but the car looks great."

Awesome color glad to be the first

"Customer wanted something unique and i found this high gloss and recommended it over the more common matte green. After see this in person it had my client fall in love ! Pictures don’t do it justice so i made sure to post video of how mirror like this gloss is. @RedemeptionWraps on IG"

Awful Customer Service

"I have been going back and forth with Vivvid customer service for nearly three weeks, trying to locate a roll of vinyl that was never delivered to me, and have been consistently told to wait when I am sure the product was never shipped. I have never experienced customer service this poor in my life, and now I’ve been sent an email asking to review the product. Hard to review something that never arrived. Will not be purchasing from this company ever again, and will steer anyone clear that asks about my experience with Vivvid. Do not purchase from this company if you have any sort of project timeline, as their estimated shipping times are practically worthless, and they seem to have no intention to remedy those issues."
