WARNING: Ultra-Gloss Candy films are produced with metallic flake that reduces the overall reflectivity of the material ( slight orange peel). The finish however is still leaps and bounds glossier than any regular wrap film.

VViViD has been working on the ultra-gloss film for over 4 years. Patents have been registered and formulas perfected! However the actual launch of this product should have been 2021…  Due to other manufacturers racing to create their own variation of this new type of film, we had to release our materials so we can compete, more colors to come!

Candy colors are packed with metallic flake and will offer an intense, deep, wet metallic finish.

Installation differences:

ULTRA-GLOSS® is the closest thing you can get to OEM paint in gloss wraps. This change makes the film more difficult to prep/install since every imperfection is magnified. Here are some tips to get the best finish from your ULTRA-GLOSS film.

Installation tips

1. Clay bar: Originally, clay bars have not been necessary for car wraps but with the dramatic increase in finish clarity, small specs and surface contaminants will show through exponentially. Although still not necessary for the integrity of the wrap, it's highly suggested for added surface clarity.

2.  Nano Air-release is there to enhance the finish of the product however it may be harder to remove trapped air on large surfaces. It is suggested to apply the film while holding excess material off the surface. This will prevent trapped air and distortions the in film. In the event of bubbles, press the bubble softly or puncture to let air out.

3. Cap: The cap can be installed without removing throughout the entire wrap process. It is important to note that the cap removes pliability of the film by about 18% meaning, it's performance will be at 82% whereas the uncapped film is at 100%.  For precision cutting, seams and joints, make sure you remove the cap in those areas.

Amazing workability

"Amazing workability"

Travis P. (5/5)

Good quality, but difficult to work with

"First time ever wrapping anything, much less a full car. Made some mistakes, learned a ton. The vinyl is good quality, but I found it difficult to work with as a beginner. I had to learn the art of the inlay pretty quickly. Overall, I'm very happy with it, especially for the price. A half decent paint job would've cost thousands. My advise- this vinyl is thick but can take lots of heat- preheat & post heat. Get some samples and practice practice practice!"

Keepin’ Cool Window Tinting & Wraps

"It went on with no issues. I liked how it maintained its look after it was stretched for application. I would definitely use this type again on my next project."

Michael C. (5/5)

Glossy! ... and sparkly!

"The quality of this film is incredible. The finished application is very smooth and about as close as you can get to looking like an actual painted surface. One advisory — the metal sparkle is more prominent than what is revealed in the photos. Definitely has a "ruby slipper" vibe, but I like it."

Not a very forgiving or

"Not a very forgiving or easy wrap but man does it look good when you finish, the amount of times it’s been mixed with paint , that just tells you the quality. And here are some pictures. But not a good purchase if it’s ur first time wrapping and your doing it yourself , pretty hard!"

10/10

"The wrap is a bit thicker than other normal gloss colors that I’ve worked with but it stretched like magic and has great air release. It comes with a clear protective film over which was a plus. The candy red is great in the sun and I love it."

Johan R. (5/5)

Beautiful color but not for

"Beautiful color but not for beginners. I’ve only started wrapping and it will be a challenge for people new to wrapping. Quality is very good!"

Paul J. (5/5)

Paint like finish with extra candy effects are gorgeus

"This vynil. Oh, this vynil. Closest paint like finish I've ever seen on a wrap. The candy effect is gorgeus. It glows and glistens in very minimal sunlight. Extra sunlight makes the beads shine brighter. This is worth it all. Look no further for the best gloss in any wrap."

Angel D. (5/5)

Easy to use and looks awesome!

"Easy to use for a first time wrapper, and I always get compliments on the color!"

Steve Y. (5/5)

Excellent color and easy install

"Put this candy red on a 2016 tucson and it is an absolutely beautiful color with true paint level gloss. Pictures can't do it justice it doesn't capture how red it is or the candy effect but this car turns heads now! Highly recommend vvivid, I started with 3M 1080 dragon fire red and it was awful the color was bland and the surface finish was dull even on their high gloss product. This stuff is the best."

Q&A

How much should I get if I am only wrapping half of my car? I have a 2017 Honda Civic Si Sedan. I do not want to risk of getting too much or too little.
Hello :) Thanks for reaching out! Looking into this it seems as you would need about 30ft to do half a vehicle. Hopefully this was useful, Please have a good day!
When are you going to restock how do i get it fast
The Ultra-Gloss Candy Red should be restocked in the month of May!
