Difficult to use
"This was incredibly difficult to use. The first piece ripped with the first application. Had to be very careful with the remaining vinyl wrap and add a stripe to the hood because I ran out of the vinyl wrap"

Great Product - Color not what I expected
"I ordered the Gunmetal Dry Carbon wrap thinking the color would be much darker than it actually is. It is actually more like an aluminum color. Due to the excellent quality though, I immediately ordered the same wrap in Black and sold the Gunmetal wrap to a friend who liked the color. So, all in all, a win-win."

Very great vinyl
"Very great quality vinyl, went on fairly easy, would have went a lot easier if I didn't have the hood warm from driving, the color is very nice and really pops out at you. I'm looking into another wrap to do the whole truck in very soon. I would recommend this product."

Q&A
I'm not clear on the differences among the types of carbon. Dry, True-R, Vivid Plus, Tech-Art, probably more. Is there somewhere on your site that documents the distinction?
The Tech Art Carbon is more different from the rest of them because it has a laminate built-in, which makes it thicker and a bit more difficult to install. All the others, the main difference is the appearance/finish. Dry Carbon = A matte finish True R Carbon = Semi-gloss finish VViViD Plus Carbon = An improved version of dry carbon with our latest premium backing. It's much smoother which makes it easier to clean as well. This is the easiest to install. Tech Art Carbon = Thick laminate on top for a very high gloss finish. A bit more difficult to install. It's difficult to describe their appearance in text, and my recommendation would be to get a sample of each or look at photos from other customers to see what will work best for your project. *** Epoxy Carbon is for interior or architectural usage only! This one has what we call a floating laminate, which is prone to water ingress. This means it should be kept away from areas exposed to water or constant humidity because it will bubble and lift over time in these conditions.
Will the adhesive harm my paint? Is it waterproof? Suitable for hood application?
Vvivid uses an acrylic adhesive that is completely safe and is not corrosive. The only instance we have seen paint damaged from vinyl is if the paint is in questionable condition or was repainted poorly.
