its a muted red

Not a bright red unless installed over white or light color.

"Three stars due to: Just got this exact product, and realizing it is an architectural vinyl.... It's translucent/opaque? Once applied, any background color shows through and changes the bright red hue. Any difference in base color shows through. I tried to wrap a small black dash piece for my car. I could see through the vinyl to the contact point on the part- where it was sticking or not sticking. Fully applied, it darkened to point of being maroon. Not bright red. I never finished install this way. Pulled it off. I then wrapped my piece with a glossy white vinyl, and then tried to apply the red. This accomplished a bright red color... smooth and consistant. I then tried to wrap down into compound curves on the piece. It layed down fairly well and smooth... but would not stretch enough to drop onto/into the lower surfaces without tearing. Even when using heat."
